Which technical requirements have to be met?

A normal PC, an e-mail address, Acrobat-Reader (available free of charge under www.adobe.com) and a printer are sufficient. The newspaper is available in full color but you can also print it out in black and white. After all: Readers are used to black and white from daily newspapers. You can also choose the type of paper you want to use and thus influence the printing quality of your personal edition.

How are my own editorial contributions incorporated into the newspaper?

All you have to do is send your updated information to us via e-mail in form of a Word-document. Read more about the process involved here. Of course you can also send us PDF files for inclusion.

Can I also include photographs/images?

Yes. It is even advisable that you support any information about your staff or your establishments by making use of illustrations like photographs, thereby amplifying the message you want to get across to your guests. Naturally you can communicate any recent events concerning your enterprise – be it a celebration at New Year’s Eve, a price giving after a golf tournament or a feature on one of your regular guests – by supplying digital photographs to accompany the story.

Is the range and choice of newspapers available in the hotel not sufficient?

It depends on what you want to achieve. Do you want to distract your guests and take their mind off their stay in your hotel? Or do you want to provide them with additional information while they are lodging in your establishment anyway?

Firstly snippets on activities of the day and secondly more detailed information about your hotel. Obviously we can’t claim to know what kinds of publications are available at your reception. Generally however the selection should include something that is read as intently and in detail as a magazine or newspaper and which simultaneously informs your readers about your services.

At what time does HotelPress arrive?

You will receive your edition from around 16.00 (German time). From then on you can supply it to or distribute it amongst your guests – for instance at the check-in. During this time of the day no daily newspapers are published and the evening news on TV is still hours away. After a long journey or a hard days work your guest will be more inclined to spend some time relaxing while reading HotelPress in peace. In other words you are closing a news gap by means of a newspaper which is specially designed for your guests. That is an ideal way of winning over customers.

Simultaneously you are placed in the position to exploit your clients need for information to your own advantage – by informing them about your business at the same time. That way you can insure that your message is consciously noticed and appreciated.

Can I incorporate my logo in the masthead? 

You don’t have to as we will do it for you. If you supply us with your logo – ideally in electronic format – we will include it in your edition of HotelPress. All you have to do is simply print it out. That is how you can get noticed and attract additional guests.

How is a personalized edition achieved?

You will receive your personalized edition in PDF format and via e-mail from us. Included in that file is a section called “personal edition for our guests”. Simply include the name of the guest in question and print out his or her personal edition. Repeat the same process with the next guest. Simple, isn’t it?

This affords you the opportunity to impress your most valued clients with their very own individual evening paper, which also includes information on your establishment. Where else in the world are people able to get their own personal newspaper?

Can I also receive HotelPress without individualized content?

Of course! An up to date newspaper as service to your guests is also expedient. However we advise that you don’t forego the chance to include your logo in the masthead.
